EDIT [25/10/2015]: I updated the translation to better fit with the official PV.
The lyrics are by azuki. That’s pretty much all I need to say >_<
Well, there is one other thing – it’s got an official PV, available here [NicoNico]. It turns out it’s a Kasen/Yoshika song – the two are apparently linked because Kasen’s historical figure was impressed when they read the poetry of Yoshika’s historical figure.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
I stretched my right arm out towards the untastefully dark grey sky,
And I grasped at the empty air.
I envied the world, and in this corner,
Only she discovered me.
Only her dignified singing voice resounds. Always, forever…
So I can paint over my lost heart, I sing in return.
Even my heart, which should have accepted the ordinary and sank away,
Even if I was at the edge of this world, we were certainly tied together.
Even though some time has passed since then,
I can instantly recall it. I suppose it was love at first sight…
“Next time, let’s meet here!” Our promise was nothing like that.
Still, it let me move forward.
I wonder if our meeting was a once-in-a-lifetime encounter? Still, still…
I want to be stronger for the next time we meet—even just a little.
Though the world is too large, and I cannot gaze out upon all of it,
My world is as large as the distance my hands can reach!
I will surely be able to smile back at you next time we meet,
So I will whimsically exchange even your song!
I look forward to that day…
Yearning for that day, my memories have become slightly coloured.
You smiled at me blankly. I wonder if you’ve forgotten about me?
Even if you don’t remember, it’s fine. You don’t have to remember me.
You and I are here. That much, at least, is certain. Look – aah…
I can’t take that time back. I can’t get that time back.
I cried, unable to remember it well.
I set out to meet my end at the place where it began. Life is very precious.
Nothing exists that can block the blue sky, which we gazed up at together.
Until the end, we will sing this song.
I suppose my memories, too, will grow hazy someday…
I shall remember your precious face, and your precious song,
Until I forget about them.
