A Softly Shining Maple Tree

Vocals: mintea
Lyrics: oiko
Arranged by: oiko
(A Softly Shining Maple Tree)
Circle: N-tone
Event: Reitaisai 8 [RTS8]
Original theme: Mystical Maple ~ Eternal Dream [幽玄の槭樹 ~ Eternal Dream]

Requested by: mr.deagle

The choruses are structured strangely in this song. The bracketed parts should all form a single sentence separate from everything else, but it sounds like the second and third lines of the first and third choruses should actually be swapped with the second chorus.

Translation

Perhaps the rust-coloured cocoon shines so it can protect the broken seedling.
It’s like everything’s black and white. Perhaps that certain landscape will grow dull.

At last (This destroyed land)
you (is clad in the light)
and I (of vivid leaves)
will become one.

Shall we speak, our stories sepia-coloured like old fairy-tales?

In the distant (This destroyed land)
past, (leaves behind traces)
People (of bright streets.)
were cruelly broken apart.

I call my scum-coloured memories pain.
My words won’t reach—my companions have already perished.
Within a debris-filled forest,
I part with them. I cannot resist.
Yes… this faded, rust-coloured cocoon
only exists to sell seeds called ‘life.’

The rust-coloured cocoon arrived to give the withered seedlings love.
Perhaps it arrived after enough seasons had passed for this world of debris to crumble away…

Thus, (This destroyed land)
you (leaves behind traces)
and I (of bright streets.)
will shine faintly, softly…

Perhaps the autumn-coloured cocoon heals the forest
so it can draw closer to it.
The broken seed’s heartbeat strengthens.
It shines softly. It shines softly.

This faded, scum-coloured world is changing.
It will shine softly.

    Thanks so much! The only complaint I’ve got is the spelling of my name. ^^;
