The lyrics this time are… very scientific. Which is appropriate, I guess, given that the original theme comes from Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream. I tried to pull all the threads together to make a story that makes sense. I don’t know if it’s just the way I translate them, but this circle’s lyrics are always difficult to interpret…

No, you’re not naggy at all! I really appreciate the observations – after all, the main aim is to end up with a more accurate translation, right? 🙂

I must admit, I misread the first part and though 消え was 消える, so thanks for pointing that out! That’s given me an idea – I thought it was a bit strange that は appeared twice in the same sentence, but it’s possible that は’s comparative function is being used here (which makes sense in the context of the sentence) – perhaps the intended meaning is something like ‘Certainty vanishes, but probability [instead of vanishing] continues on to a solution.’ That’s going off on a bit of a tangent, but thanks again!

And you raise a valid point with the chorus. I thought the verb 超える would be associated with the two をs before it, but thinking over it again, that would leave the verb at the end without an object. It might be the first time I’ve actually encountered lyrics structured like that before.

Anyway, thanks again for your observations 🙂 I’ll think it over and make some changes.

Nice job. I thought about translating this one myself, actually. I just have two things to say.

「確実は消え可能性は　解答へと続く」 seems like two phrases to me, whereas your translation seems more fitting for if it were 消える instead.
連用形 usually works the same as て形, with a few exceptions such as 探し物 or 消しゴム, in which case it acts more as a noun. Of course, having never taken a Japanese class, I’m just an armchair linguist who learns based mostly on observation, so I could be wrong.
“Certainty vanishes and probability leads to a solution” sounds a lot more natural to me though.

Secondly, is the chorus.
「星といつかの空を　今から
時空を越えて　掴みにいくのだろう」

It’s hard to tell with capital letters beginning each line, which is why I tend to avoid that, but it looks like you translated it as “crossing over the stars and sky”. I tripped up over this when I first read the original lyrics myself, but I think it makes more sense if you separate the
今から時空を越えて part from the rest of it, seeing as the spacing seems to support the idea of it being its own phrase, taking the place of commas.
You could also imagine it rearranged as
「今から時空を越えて
星といつかの空を掴みにいくのだろう」.
So basically something like
“Now transcending space-time,
Perhaps I’m going to seize the stars and sky of the future”
but with more line balance.

Same goes for the other stanza in the chorus.

Hope that helps and I don’t sound too naggy!
