Perhaps this song is setting up an extended metaphor, with the speaker comparing their lover to the rain…

Translation

When it rains like today, they call it ‘shigure.’ (1)
It seemed different to the rain we’ve had until now.
Am I me, rather than you?

Unname.
I like being nameless with you.
Even without names,
all we need to do is say ‘hey’ if we need to call to each other.
Even without names—

The reasons why we were given our names are all precious
but someone’s value isn’t you,
so no matter who calls, the rain remains cold.

Unname.
I like being nameless with you.
Even without names,
all we need to do is say ‘hey’ if we need to call to each other.
Even without names—

When it rains like today, they call it ‘shigure.’
It seemed different to the rain we’ve had until now.
The reasons why we were given our names are all precious
but someone’s value isn’t you, so—

Unname.
I like being nameless with you.
(When it rains like today, they call it ‘shigure.’)
Even without names,
(It seemed different to the rain we’ve had until now.)
all we need to do is say ‘hey’ if we need to call to each other.
(The reasons why we were given our names are all precious)
[Even without names—
(but someone’s value isn’t you, so—)

Translator’s note

(1) 時雨 (shigure, literally ‘timely rain’) refers to rain that falls in late autumn or early winter. Dictionary entries also suggest an additional figurative meaning: shedding tears.

Isn’t あんね basically short for あのね, sort of like ‘look here a sec’ or ‘you know what’? Wouldn’t Unname be written in Japanese as アンネーム ?

Hi! Thanks for your comment. Tge translation of the title is official, as it appears on the composer’s official Soundcloud page for the instrumental version of this track:
      https://m.soundcloud.com/kuchisaki/unname

I would definitely be interested to see some other examples online where あんね is used in place of ‘ano ne’, but I’m unable to change the title translation for this one…
