Translation

At puberty, you can either be a monk or elope. Choose it.
I lower my bowl to beg.
What? You can’t say it’s impossible.
As if I can’t do what I want.

What should I do? (1)
What should I do?
What should I do?
What the hell should I do?

“Inherit the house, idiot.” “Leave the house, idiot.”
“Inherit the house, idiot.” “Leave the house, idiot.”
Buddha, Shaka, Buddha, Shaka, Buddha, Shaka, Buddha, Shaka.
Dunk a parishioner dance.
Shakariki Boon.

Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
(This is colour, this is colour.) (2)
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shaka baby.

Before Buddha, chanting, training, condolences.
That bout happens, one’s again.
I know I’m not on their level. Really!
This is the 108th battle.

What should I do?
What should I do?
What should I do?
What the hell should I do?

Sect! SINGON! Sect! JO-DO!
Buddha, Shaka, Buddha, Shaka, Buddha, Shaka, Buddha, Shaka!
Everybody say
Shakariki Boon!

Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
(This is colour, this is colour.)
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.

We exchange common blows and face each other in sermon tactics without preaching.
At 100rps, this serve spans time. Backhand future.
Don’t look at me like you understand. Everyone’s sweaty, with fingernails peeling off.
Gather here! We dashed off, risking it all for victory. All that’s left is preaching to Shaka. (3)

Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
(This is colour, this is colour.)
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shananananana Shaka shananananana.
Shaka baby.

Translator’s notes

(1) This line was translated as if it was written in the Kansai dialect, though it can also be read as 同棲っちゅうの?! (dousei cchuu no?! – A manga title, roughly translated as “we’re living together?!”)

(2) This is likely a contraction of the old saying 色即是空 (shikisoku zekuu, form is emptiness)

(3) 釈迦に説法 (shaka ni seppou) is a saying meaning something like ‘preaching to the choir.’
