Some notes about the title – 酉 (tori) is the sake/alcohol kanji radical. I did some reading around and it looks like 九十 (kyuujuu) is linked to 卆, which is a simplified form of 卒 (sotsu), which is used when you stop doing something. For example, 卒寿 (sotsuju) means ’90th birthday’. This is where ‘abstaining’ comes from in my translation.

Tackmyn has suggested an alternate interpretation in which the three characters (酉九十) combine to form 酔 (sui, drunk).

Translation

I was starving and bored at night
and, of course, I was drunk.
Why have I fallen so far?
I don’t know.
Why have I gotten so lonely?
Tell me.

Moonlight shone in during the night
and, like always, I was drunk.
Why have things gotten so fun?
I don’t know.
Why am I so excited?
Tell me.

I cry, waah-waah, then smile the next minute
and I sing a hopeless song.
I was a good-for-nothing, left behind
in my territory, a small room 6 tatami large.

Get lured in by the ghosts dancing at midnight
and let’s smile and dance ‘till dawn!
Forget about worthless fences
and strife.
Let’s smile and dance ‘till the end!

During an exalted and flushed night
I continued on being drunk.
Why are there so many empty cans?
I don’t know.
Why are there so many empty bottles?
Tell me.

The heavens and earth gradually start spinning.
I lose my senses and just laugh.
???
I’m slurring my speech.

Get lured in by the stars shining at midnight
and let’s smile and dance ‘till dawn!
Forget about worthless fences
and strife.
Let’s smile and dance ‘till the end!

I don’t want to see the sun rise tomorrow.
It’ll be a miserable day for sure.
I don’t want to see myself as I am now.
I must look pathetic.

Midnight’s spell will soon come to an end.
Let’s smile and dance ‘till dawn!
Forget about worthless fences
and strife.
Let’s smile and dance ‘till the end!

“Abstaining from Alcohol”… I’ve read your note, and while I say it’s reasonable enough, I suppose it’s also possible to interpret that the three kanji (酉九十) are supposed to make up the kanji 酔.

I didn’t consider that but you’re right, 酔 does contain those three kanji! I’ve included your interpretation. Thanks!
