This was a challenging song, but I get a sense that’s it’s about Vocaloid itself, or possibly a commentary on the materialistic nature of modern society.

Keep an eye out for multiple perspectives too – we have 僕 (boku, more masculine ‘I’) and 私 (watashi, more feminine/adult ‘I’). I presume ‘boku’ is the master.

Translation

“Hey, master.”
“With words that form a vague meaning,”
“you keep questioning while tuning me. Can you see me?”
“I think I might talk about myself.”
“I’ll speak to you, even if I can’t see you.”

I was born
during a Westernised era, and before long
they were weighing up the benefits
of putting speed first. I guess it was all about profit and loss.

They’d long passed the limits of hospitality
and they had pressed their ideas onto me, ideas that circulated
beyond things, contact, meaning and concepts.

Microvational smart extraction flows out from the swollen mass of info.
Genesis-like science heads towards the everlasting fulfilment of dreams.
What do I suppose is my body? I guess it demarcates reality,
except there’s no way or reason why it would be categorised that way.

“This biting polyrhythm is driving me mad.”
“We’re the ones who said we couldn’t do anything about it.”
“We’ve finally perfected our pure art.”
“We long for happiness and rest our grieving hearts.”

With words that vaguely form meaning
my master continues to question while tuning me.
Do you still hold doubts in your heart? Still?
even though you still cannot see me.

Preparations are advancing steadily.
They carry out unenlightened deeds without circular arguments or misinterpretations.
The numbers are bound in a series
and they deal with this overfuture.

My honest thoughts about the unfamiliar manual
and my vocal cords, reading it out in a scratchy tone…
Ah, they were all just ransomvogue.
You can’t tell the difference.

I worried over transient work, and after finally finding a gap
it took form when it counted. The social network was already at saturation point
and yet I keep writing. I guess I’ll delve into the plutonian blue
though it’s not like I’ll become a seal to swim in it.

“At the end of the day, it’s just a mass game of mass production.”
“It’s churning out the same figurine like a factory.”
“Close down the electronic media and I guess you’ll reach an eternal form.”
“As proof of your desire, what will you buy if not stuff?”

With words that form a vague meaning
you tune me. How do I look?
I wonder if I can still sing with that doll’s voice.
I’m kept alive, though I no longer have a heartbeat.

“Do you want to become endless, postmodernism?”
I was manipulated by propaganda aiming to preserve consciousness.
Now it’s not clear whether it started with civilisation
or enlightenment. The outlines are no longer there.

This biting polyrhythm is driving me mad.
I’m the one who said I couldn’t do anything about it.
I’ve perfected my pure art up until now.
I stop my empty heart, longing to return.

With words lacking a vague family of languages
I tried to speak, but did it get through it you, master?
“Do you still seem mechanical? That’s me.”
“My biography is so long.”

My words were spun together with vague meaning
yet you understood them, like I was singing to you.
I’ve still held the same sense of self, that’s how it seems.
The kotodama echoed so hard. They’re stopping.

The grand history of merchandise avoided ambiguity
and now, mass-produced figurines are left behind from digitisation.
You can’t hear their heartbeats or their voices, of course. That’s how it is.
And yet, I felt like I heard something just now.
It was the movement of words bearing free will.

“Don’t wound the hands that press you forwards.”
“Don’t erase me with the defects.”
“Join together and hold the sights I’m forgetting.”
“Look after the world that longs for the other side.”

That’s true, the composer’s name has a very old English feel to it. “And thus, I do decree / this song has an excellent melody.”

it’d be interesting if they included their name/phrase in one song, i think there was one western composer that had their name in their songs repeated but it was more edm-ish and the name didn’t mean any thing in particular lol

You’re welcome! Thanks for your patience too, I spent so much time before publishing this one working on the phrasing and wording…
