Original themes: Faith is for the Transient People [信仰は儚き人間の為に]
Futatsuiwa From Sado [
Continuing on with another track from this album – I can’t believe there’s only two to go after this!
Given that ‘Faith is for the Transient People’ is one of the themes that’s mashed up, you’d expect the song to be told from Sanae’s point of view. That’s possible, but I think it might actually be told from the Dine-and-Dasher’s point of view, as certain parts of the song, such as the smoke bit, refer to the incident in which Mamizou unmasks their true identity. Of course, I can only make this judgement based on reading a plot summary – my interpretation might change once I read the original chapters in August when vol. 4 comes out.

Translation
In a night steeped in silence,
The things that are inevitable, though I ponder them,
Overflow, sentimentally.
Suddenly, I think of a tale of what could be…
The world beyond…
As always, it’s full of fighting.
It would be good if this world could remain at peace…
“If the day comes when I can go home, what do I want to do?”
I asked the full moon, and smiled.
If you’re bewitching people, do it properly!
Two saké cups lay empty…
If we defend the rules that must be defended,
This world will become an earthly paradise.
Even if smoke wraps around me,
I won’t let myself be deceived by you,
So I’m fed up with money made of leaves!
“If you can return, what will you do?”
They asked from me, and looked up.
That red smile dissolved in the wind.
This is foolish talk, swimming in the saké…
During this night that grows late, in which I am intoxicated – lost –
I am on the border between being a youkai and a human.
If, sometimes, it fades away,
Is that a good thing? I think, and drain my cup
In this silent night…
