(Futoumeido)
Arranged by: pizuya
Album: UROBOROS 3
(Pizuya’s Cell)
Event: Reitaisai 12 [RTS12]
Original theme: Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path [春色小径 ~ Colorful Path]
Requested by: Eiki
The main pronoun this time is 僕ら (bokura). This is a more masculine way of saying ‘our.’ Also, since the title doesn’t use 白い (shiroi, white) and 黒い (kuroi, black) in their adjectival forms, it’s possible to interpret the title as ‘A Spring Breeze of White and Black.’ I went with Black-and-White since (subjectively) it seems like a more natural translation of the above phrase.

Translation
“Because things are beautiful, they head towards destruction.”
I walked onwards, continuously warning
That this was surely a fate set up by someone
From when the world was created.
When I realised that I, who cannot protect even a single thing,
Was making excuses for my weakness…
(Now,) the piercing rays of the spring sun push us onwards.
Even if, say, my body would be hideously burned,
I feel that I could thaw the ice surrounding your heart
If I drew just a little closer to the sky.
Because having you by my side became natural,
I forgot about losing you.
And in doing so, we gradually stopped
Creating precious things…
I couldn’t even grip the thing already inside my hands
So I wouldn’t drop it.
(Still,) there must be something I can still do before I give up.
Though there was a time when I hung my head and trembled slightly,
The miracle we’re searching for is somewhere in that blue sky,
So if we’re aiming for it, let’s leap off the tallest spot!
The wind of hope, as if it has been crammed with the seasons of a single year, is—
If the wind blows strongly towards the spring sun, a mysterious power shall burst forth.
Even if, say, it is exposed to the downpouring rain and grows cold,
The illusory breath of that high sky is transmitted to us.
No matter what hurdles we face, let’s overcome them together!
