幻視の夜〜雪化粧

Night of Hallucinations ~ A Blanket of Snow

Vocals: 蒼羽 雫 (Shizuku Sorahane)
Lyrics: komine
Arranged by: ASKi
Album: 月光抄 (Moonlight Vignette)
Circle: Zephill
Release date: 16 March 2014
Original theme: Illusory Night ~ Ghostly Eyes [幻視の夜 〜 Ghostly Eyes]

Requested by: Ayaka Shisai

A calm, soothing arrangement. Watch out for the last two stanzas, though!

By the way, the first part of the title is the same as the first part of the original theme’s title. I translated it slightly differently because I feel that the idea of ‘hallucinations’ better fits the content of the song, as opposed to ‘illusions.’ Also, apparently ‘Illusionary’ isn’t a real word – it’s actually ‘illusory.’ It’s strange how we all know what illusionary means , though. I guess that’s one of the wonders of language…

Translation

Those pure white snowflakes.
That pure white time.
Ah… within a silent night.

The snow continues to fall.
It piles up, deeply,
And my footprints are left behind.

The small pebbles,
Like drops of love,
End up disappearing
Before the dawn.

Piled-up snowballs.
The feelings crammed in me
Are gradually
Cooling down.

Come, come… welcome to the world of hallucinations…
Look – traces of dried-up tears…
Soon, they will end up disappearing…

Come, come… grow numb in the fragrance of hallucinations…
Look – in a world without you,
I shall make your heart freeze over…
