There’s a small interpretation point here: in the third stanza, all instances of ‘she’ could possibly be replaced with ‘I’.
kurai okusoko koe ga kikoeta nda
kamisama douka kimi o korosanaide
atarimae ni sugoseta noni
nani mo kani mo mizu no awa
fukaku fukaku shizunde yuku
atashi kono mama shinu no kana?
A voice could be heard in the dark depths.
I pray that God will not kill you.
We passed the time in such an ordinary way
but it was all like a bubble on the water’s surface.
I sink deeper and deeper.
Will I die like this?
iya da iya da iya da yo
saigo ni mita koukei wa
mou hitori no jibun ga
waratte ita
No, no, no, no way!
The last thing I saw
was another me.
They were smiling.
kurai okusoko me ga samereba soko ni
akuma no you na “atashi” ga te o nigiru
atarimae no ano koro ga sou
genkaku da to shitta toki
uso yo, uso to torimidashite
atashi no kubi o shimete ita
In the dark depths, when I woke up
a demonic version of myself was gripping my hand.
The moment she realised
that those ordinary days were an illusion,
she broke down, crying “lies, lies!”
and was strangling me.
urusai yo
How annoying!
iya da iya da iya da yo
saigo ni mita koukei wa
mou hitori no jibun ga
waratte ita
No, no, no, no way!
The last thing I saw
was another me.
They were smiling.
iya da iya da iya da yo
iya da iya da iya da yo
No, no, no, no way!
No, no, no, no way!
chigau chigau chigau yo
saigo ni mita koukei wa
atashi mo oboetenai
emi ga koboreta
Wrong, wrong, that’s wrong!
As for the last thing I saw,
I don’t remember it either.
A smile escaped my lips.
