The title translation appears to be official. Literally, the title means somethong like ‘The Travels of the Courteous Toad.’

The lyrics themselves are quite complicated, and use a number of words that feel like they’ve been coined especially for this song.

Translation

I look up at the rain and wait.
With my worldly body, I hear worthless chittering in this old world.

Drizzle. The sakura peak. Evening’s abyss. This is the legend of a thieving cuckoo.
Sweep away the coloured brushes. Even rising early is not allowed.

They are easygoing and hate courtesies. Though they are still unpromoted
they are a momentary existence—just a clown in vogue.

You unprincipled mass of boors, shut up!
…they just walk a straight road.

If I balked at wounding others
I wouldn’t have been burdened with this pretence
but if power alone is justice, is it too late?

I fall over perfunctorily and experience hardship.
I make my blurred eyes bloodshot.
To think I would cry at the tails of lizards tumbling before my eyes.

I’m a bad kid, unable to live up to hollow expectations.
I’m a bad kid, unwilling to lie for the sake of ideals.

Are petals or stones falling? No matter which one, it’s ghastly.

The last trains have gone, and all I can rely on are the streetlights.
I tossed away my broken umbrella and leaned gently against the concrete.

Assuming the role of Amadeus, with heat stolen away and running at one’s fingertips,
if you remember the pitiable nature of this nightmare illness
then stay away, spring! Don’t wake me. And yet…

Indecent yet courteous, though they escape to obscure complaints
the masses experience fleeting hardships all over.

Just scorn a dull lifetime!
Curse your short stature…!

Courteous yet rude, pride is just an old rag.
Refuse no offers. If you want to stay, come and stay!

If this fiction will layer up and change its form, then be splendid!
Though you don’t come anymore, I will walk this lonely road.
