The first part of the title sounds like 折り鶴 (oritsuru – paper crane), but it uses different kanji. This one would be closer to ‘caged crane.’

Translation

With the rising moon on my back
I untangle my fingers.
Vagrant clouds are in the skies above.
Your figure
is so sorrowful.

They colour my hometown
in this shifting, floating world.

Are the sakura still blooming?
A broken crane rests at my bedside.
Instead of praying, it hangs its head low.
Please, rest peacefully.

With every unique night that passes
our voices weaken.
The names we call to each other vanish into the mist
like the moon.

Farewell. See you tomorrow.
Those words won’t come true.

I watch the boat I placed on the river until it’s out of sight.
Whose spirit lights it up?
Together with the foxtails caressed by the wind
I’ll wave.

A needle was pierced into the edge of my sleeve.
The land of everlasting darkness was on the other bank.
I trace over that scar, temporarily sewn up.
I touched your skin.

The sakura blossoms fall and bud again.
The song, an oath you left behind, echoes.
Even if it’s false, I won’t cry again.
I will live with strength.

I still remember, even now.
The crane cannot fly in its bamboo basket.
It is covered in the dust of antiquity.
Rest! Rest peacefully.
