Translation

When I stumble on the long, long promenade
leading from the apartments
I spin around
and, just like that, walk backwards.
With the scent of wet grass in the air
I hum lightly
matching my rhythm
to the roadside indicators.

I look into the viewfinder
but it won’t enter the frame. It’s so annoying.
I want to include that flower and the sky.

The falling droplets
suddenly bounce off.
The rain’s radiance
is scattered light
gathering between the clouds.
My gaze
lightly darts around
and beneath where I take off from
a hydrangea mosaic
is blurred.

I’m reflected in the puddle.
When I suddenly felt like looking away
I looked towards the path leading from the embankment
until the row of houses cuts off.
I follow the raindrops decorating my window
and their brightness increases.
In this abandoned back alley
I am alone.

I step back
and my field of view is still too narrow.
When I dropped my hand, that’s when I realised it.

The rainbow is low
and pulling its slender paintbrush
It melts into the landscape.
The light shines
and contrast is returned.
My heart
sways back and forth.
When will the thick, thick clouds
spread their wings, sheltering from the rain?

The falling droplets
suddenly bounce off.
The rain’s radiance
is scattered light
gathering between the clouds.

My gaze
lightly darts around
and beneath where I take off from
a hydrangea mosaic
is blurred.
