Update (22 June 2015): I fixed up the translator’s note. I actually didn’t intend to have it in there, but by the time I realised I left it in, it was too late to get rid of it…
The last Comp track from this album. I really like those “The Strange Everyday Life of the Flying Shrine Maiden” parts scattered throughout – that melody is really effective. The role of the speaker seems to shift between Kosuzu (the beginning) and Nitori (the choruses – there’s a bit of weird slang in them, but I did my best). There’s also plenty of references to the titular ‘Seven Wonders.’ If you’d like to learn more about them, I recommend visiting this site.

Translation
I’m inside my house during an awfully cold night,
And in the dead of night, a parade takes place…
I see it, and pretend I didn’t see it.
Listen! The frozen lake spoke.
Listen! “Leave it behind…” It’s the voice of the leave-it-behind straggler.
The paper lanterns, floating gently in the air,
Formed a line and marched off, swaying
Towards a place away from the Human Village.
“Wash my feet!” is moaned in the tale of the foot-washing mansion.
The Seven Wonders – what a profound mystery!
Leave the bewitching to me. It’s a cinch! (1)
The tanuki dance around, sounding the following wooden clappers.
The eyes of the dragon king shine in the night sky, which has cleared up.
Listen! A mysterious sound reverberates through the streets at night.
Hide yourself! Cower upon your futon…
It’s just a little, just a little, little thing.
It only happens, only happens in winter.
Pardon me! I don’t mean any harm.
As for me, I’ve got my own reasons,
And you’ve got yours. I’m that sort of person.
The Seven Wonders – what a profound mystery!
Leave the bewitching to me. It’s a cinch!
You’ll stay friends with me, right?
Even if I told you this and that,
I’ve know you for a long time,
So I’ll rely on you after this, too!
It’s just a little, just a little, little thing.
It only happens, only happens in winter.
Pardon me! I don’t mean any harm.
As for me, I’ve got my own reasons,
And you’ve got yours. I’m that sort of person!
The Seven Wonders – what a profound mystery!
Leave the bewitching to me. It’s a cinch!
Translator’s note
(1) へのかっぱ (he no kappa) is a set phrase meaning ‘a cinch/something easy to do.’ Since the speaker is [presumably] Nitori, it doubles as wordplay, since it has her species name ‘kappa’ in it.
