The Future

Vocals: ランコ (Ranko)
Lyrics: コンプ (Comp)
Arranged by: コンプ (Comp)
(O, Ordinary Brain! Dance with Tonight’s Moon)
Circle: 豚乙女 (BUTAOTOME)
Event: C87
Original theme: The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw [

Requested by: Mekouchii

So, since I finished BUTAOTOME’s RTS12 album, I’m going back over their C87 album. You can really see a difference in lyrical styles between the two albums – I’d say this one is more biological/scientific. I haven’t worked out an order or anything like that, so I’ll probably just translate them randomly.

Translation

Those days go by, like the pages in a book.
They are neither incorrect (×) nor correct (○).
What do you think of somewhat strong mysteries once in a while?
My interest passes through my throat and surges forth.

I give up on learning from experience,
And I stimulate my brain, just a bit.
My electric synapses go into full throttle.
Then, when I threw my prayers at the heavens…

On that day, at that time, at that place, the future will change.
The past, the present – everything will change into the future.
Is there an answer to this decision? I grow scared…

I stamped my feet and struggled,
Though when I stamped my feet, the ground grew harder.
I squatted down upon the hard ground,
And with all of my force, I leaped high into the sky.

The future I could see on that day, at that time, at that place,
Became the future because I seized it with my own hands.
The beginning and the end get along well, and they hold hands.

On that day, at that time, at that place, the future will change.
The past, the present – everything will change into the future.
On that day, at that time, that place shall create the future.
It will become the future because I seized it with my own hands.
The beginning’s end is still unending…

  1. I thought about it a bit and I must admit, Comp writes some awfully inspiring lyrics!
I dunno how I can tell when all I understand from listening is the repeated “未来が変わる” in the chorus, but once again, I sort of expected the lyrics to turn out like this!

    Thanks a bunch, buddy

    1. He definitely does! I like Comp’s lyrics because they seem so simple on the page, but they end up telling all sorts of stories. I regret putting off translating this album now >_<
And by the way, 'grats on the 300 subscribers! 😀
