I love ‘The Lake Reflects the Cleansed Moonlight,’ so I’m glad it got a good arrangement so early on. I kind of feel like it won’t be that popular later on down the track, but hopefully I’m proved wrong.

I think the speaker is Ringo, talking down to Reisen, but it might not be. Also, the ‘地’ in the title refers to ‘Earth,’ as in ‘ground,’ but I feel like it’s also tied to 地球, or ‘Planet Earth.’ That’s why I capitalised it when it appears in the song.

Pride
Prime

Crime
Slide

Crime
Prime

Translation

Pray to the moon, and return to the Earth. Someday, that star will flow through someone.

I look intently at the sky and pray:
“Aah, I want to go there. I want to throw everything away.”
Saying that, I give in to karma…

Pride! Thinking a patched-up appearance is normal,
Prime! I crush my heart to death, and my dreams as well.

Pray to the moon, and return to the Earth. You’re definitely a girl who dreams. The way out of your cage
Is here. No matter how many times they call, you won’t believe them, like in a dream…

You seem confused as you smile. You, who have offered
your whole life up, as if in sacrifice. I shall teach you…

Crime! Your conscience, which you saw but pretended you couldn’t see…
Slides, like a comet that vanishes after being satisfied.

If this distant, sad world is a place where time scorns and drives away even your dreams,
Then why not seize that glistening transience in the distance? Come, now – come here!

Crime! Your conscience, which you saw but pretended you couldn’t see…
Prime! It suffocates your future, and your dreams as well.

Pray to the moon, and return to the Earth. You’re definitely a girl who dreams. The way out of your cage
Is here. No matter how many times they call, you won’t believe them, like in a dream…
