I think Cherose has such a good voice! I feel like I haven’t heard him in a while, though…

“itsuka kanarazu watashi wo mukae ni kite hoshii”
“chikaou kono inochi ni kaetemo”

“I want you to come for me someday…”
“I swear it! Even if I forfeit my life in exchange.”

yowaku hakanai yakusoku hitamuki na inochi
hito no ko no sadame mitsumete iyou
keshite musubareru koto wa nai to shitemo
tada inori tsudzukete itai

A weak, fleeting promise. A single-minded life.
I shall stare at the children’s fates.
Even if we will never be linked,
I want to keep praying.

kin to gin de tsukurareta itsuwari no ki ni mo
haru kitari naba shinju no hana ga
chikai no hakobune yo tsuki ni todoku made
chiyo ni yachiyo ni sora wo kakero

When spring arrives, pearl flowers will bloom
even upon a false tree made of gold and silver.
O ark of oaths! Until you reach the moon,
Race through space for millennia and millennia.

itsuka koko made mukae ni kite kureta no nara
sono toki wa tsutaetai koto ga aru no
itsuka chikai wo hatashite kono mi ga kuchitemo
furikaeru mono mo naku

If you will come to receive me someday,
There’s something I want to say then.
Though my body may rot when my oath is fulfilled,
There is not a soul who will look back.

“人の作りし星が 夜空で手をつなぎ
やがて光の綱が 地上を包み込む
あらゆる境界を するりとくぐり抜け
誰しもの想いが 実を結んでゆく”

“hito no tsukuri-boshi ga yozora de te wo tsunagi
yagate hikari no tsuna ga chijou wo tsutsumi komu
arayuru kyoukai wo sururi to kuguri nuke
dareshimo no omoi ga mi wo musunde yuku”

“Manmade stars link hands in the night sky.
Eventually, the rope of light will envelop the surface.
   Slipping through all boundaries,
   Everyone’s wishes will bear fruit.”

wazuka hyakunen no naka de kie yuku inochi itsukushimu koto mo nageku koto mo
sore wa hyakunen no kakaku nokosareta kotoba tada hitasura ni omou

Lives fade away after a mere century. Loving… grieving…
They are the words left behind by the century travellers. I just feel for them earnestly.

“今や機械の腕が 人々を支えている
たとえ言葉が消え 文字さえも無くなり
時を経てもなお 愛がそこに在るなら

“ima ya kikai no ude ga hitobito wo sasaete iru
tatoe kotoba ga kie moji sae mo naku nari
toki wo hetemo nao ai ga soko ni aru nara

“Now, mechanical arms support humans.
If language fades away and even letters vanish,
Though time may pass, love will still remain there. If so…

watashi wa ikiyou”

  …I will live.”

chikaou kono koe wo tsuki ni todokeyou
chiyo ni hana hiraku omoi takaraka ni
kuruoshiku mangetsu katatoki mo hanarezu ni
hagoromo wa towa no yume

I shall swear an oath! My voice will reach the moon!
My feelings blossom over the ages, reaching up high.
Without parting from the maddening full moon for a moment,
The angel’s raiment is an eternal dream…

Also, I love Cherose’s voice too, he sang on kimino-museum’s 2016 album and on a 2016 C-CLAYS album (白瓏 -HAKUROU-) but I didn’t see him credited on anything in 2017… really hoping there’s another kimino-museum release in the works with him, he did the chorus vocals on a single of theirs in 2017 actually.
