This is connected to another song with a similar title. It seems to answer some parts while introducing new mysteries… There’s some text written in the video but I wasn’t able to transcribe it. If somebody out there was able to write it down, I would hopfully be able to translate it.

君の悲しい過去をね
塗り替えてみせたいよ
一人にさせた
僕のせいだね

kimi no kanashii kako o ne
nurikaete misetai yo
hitori ni saseta
boku no sei da ne

I want to rewrite your sad history
and show it to you.
You were made to be alone.
It’s my fault, I guess.

恐ろしい森の噂は
とっくに知ってる
いま目の前で
操られてる大事な人

osoroshii mori no uwasa wa
tokku ni shitteru
ima me no mae de
ayatsurareteru daiji na hito

I already knew the rumours
about that terrifying forest.
Right now, before my eyes,
Stands someone important to me, who’s being manipulated.

自由にするためあげた足が
仂となってしまったなんて、
君は虚ろなその目で呟いたんだ
「この街をでるの」…そうだね

jiyuu ni suru tame ageta ashi ga
hateto natte shimatta nante,
kimi wa utsuro na sono me de tsubuyaita nda
“kono machi o deru no”… sou da ne

To think that the legs I gave you so you’d be free
would become excess in the end…
You muttered with hollow eyes:
“I’m leaving this city.” Yes, that’s right.

君は覚えてるかな
いつも手を繋いでた
小さな手はもう
僕と同じ大ちさ

kimi wa oboeteru kana
itsumo te o tsunaideta
chiisana te wa mou
boku to onaji oochisa

I wonder if you remember
that we used to always hold hands.
Your small hands
are the same size as mine now.

とっくの昔に死んだし
あの世もいいけど
僕の「孫」がね
見ての通り可愛いからさ、

tokku no mukashi ni shindashi
ano yo mo ii kedo
boku no “mago” ga ne
mite no toori kawaii kara sa,

I died long, long ago
and the next world is fine by me,
But that’s because my “descendants”
are so cute, as you can see.

この先何があってもいい
君のためなら平気だ
眠りについた君を守れればいい
笑い声がする、あいので

kono saki nani ga atte mo ii
kimi no tame nara heiki da
nemuri ni tsuita kimi o mamorereba ii
waraigoe ga suru, ai no de

It doesn’t matter what happens after this.
I’m fine if it’s for your sake.
I should protect you, who fell asleep.
I hear laughter. I love you.
(1)

耳の中の笑い声がここで
いままさに笑ってる
うれしかった足はもう消えた
絶望が、

mimi no naka no waraigoe ga koko de
ima masa ni waratteru
ureshikatta ashi wa mou kieta
zetsubou ga,

The laughter in my ears is right here.
They’re laughing now, for sure.
The legs that made me so happy have vanished,
And now, despair—

この先君は大人になる
プレゼントはもう無いけど
きっと立派な人間になれるからね
可愛いうちの子
今までありがとう
またね、

kono saki kimi wa otona ni naru
purezento wa mou nai kedo
kitto rippa na ningen ni nareru kara ne
kawaii uchi no ko
ima made arigatou
mata ne,

After this, you will become an adult.
I don’t have a present for you
but you’ll definitely become a splendid person.
My charming child,
Thank you for everything.
Farewell…

(1) The last part of this line (あいので) does not appear on screen. Because of this, its meaning is up for interpretation.

Video text

(Thanks to Saryu for the transcription!)

耳の中の笑い声が響く
もう静かにしてよね?

Laughter echoes in my ears.
Won’t you be quiet already?

AAAAAAAA
HELP ME

「森に行くなきゃ」

“I’ve gotta go to the forest.”

僕に迷いはないから

Because I’ve got no doubts… (2)

あの森に行ってしゃまう人たちは
植物の栄養にされる
そんな話を前に聞いた。
その時の記憶なんてないし
正直どうでもよかった。
でも君を見つけたら、
思い出をしたんだ。

People who make their way to that forest
become food for the plants.
I heard that tale before.
I have no memories of back then
and to be honest, I didn’t care,
But when I found you
I remembered.

彼女は夜に溶けていない
<-夜に溶けた

She hasn’t melted into the night.
<-Melted into the night.

どうか自分をxxないで

Please don’t xx yourself. (3)

暗いところは怖い
「じゃあ、なぜそこにいるの?
あの子の方がもっと暗いところにいるから
「あの子って?」
ごめんね、話せないの
ごめん
しばらく一人にして

I’m scared of dark places.
“So, why are you there?”
After all, they’re in an even darker place.
“They…?”
Sorry, I can’t speak about it.
Sorry.
Please leave me alone for a bit.

(2) 僕 (boku – masculine ‘I’) is used.
(3) The key part of this sentence, the verb, is obscured and glitchy. It has been suggested that it could be 責めないで. The full sentence would then become “Please don’t blame yourself.”

So I went and transcribed the stuff in the video. Some words are in the different colors so I’ll put it color to the right of the word (Red=R, green=G and blue=B). If it’s at the end of a sentence it means the whole sentence is that color. I’ll put the last line sung between quotes and behind each written segment so you’ll have an easier time organizing the lyrics.
    “Right now, before my eyes”
    耳の中の笑(R)い声が響く
    もう静かにしてよね?
(These two lines get repeated a lot and get “corrupted” through the iterations, by replacing some parts with katakana.)
    AAAAAAAA
    HELP ME
    “I’m leaving this city.”
    「森に行くなきゃ」(R)
    “Yes, that’s right”
    僕に迷いはないから (R)
(The first one replaces the city lyric as it’s being written, then flashes briefly just before the PV moves onto “That’s right”. The second sentence is after that, but it only lasts a second or two before getting distorted. I think the idea it’s that they’re the unspoken implications of what was said, not new sentences)
    あの森(G)に行ってしゃまう人たちは
    植物の栄養(R)にされる
    そんな話を前に聞いた。
    その時の記憶なんてないし
    正直どうでもよかった。
    でも君を見つけたら、
    思い出をしたんだ。
    “Farewell…”
    彼女は夜に溶けていない
    <-夜に溶けた(R)
(This one is actually a label for a dark figure)
    どうか自分をxxないで(R)
(There are some glitchy graphics blocking the letters. All I can say is that the first X is a kanji whose bottom part looks like 貝, and the second is either "me" or "no")
    暗いところは怖い
    「じゃあ、なぜそこにいるの?(B)
    あの子の方がもっと暗いところにいるから
    「あの子って?」(B)
    ごめんね、話せないの
    ごめん
    しばらく一人にして

Thank you very much for that! I’ll add in the video text as an appendix at the bottom of the translation (^_^)

I tried to figure out what the XX part was by looking through a dictionary for every word that had 貝 as a bottom component and was followed by me or no. I think the likeliest result was 責め (賞 also matched kanji-wise but 賞め doesn’t seem to be a word) Would that make sense gramatically?
If it’s supposed to be “don’t blame yourself”, it might be related to the “it’s my fault, I guess” from the first verse.

Thanks for looking into that! I agree that 責めないで would fit. I looked up 賞めないで but it doesn’t seem like it’s used very often…

Definitely! The two songs in this series offer up some interesting themes. I wonder if the composer will continue with another entry next year…
