A tricky part of translating this song was working out what to do with ナンボのもの (nanbo no mono). ナンボ (nanbo) appears to be a term used in the Kansai dialect to refer to something that’s uncertain (i.e. “how much does that cost?”). It’s used as an adjective here, which is pretty confusing, and I wasn’t happy with what I settled on…

The majority of this track seems like it’s told from the speaker’s perspective, which includes the parts written in third-person.
