The ‘cycle’ in the title is a reference to the Buddhist concept of ‘samsara,’ or ‘the endless cycle of death and rebirth.’
The PoV shifts may feel a bit jarring at times, but the song seems to naturally flow from the narrator’s perspective to the girl’s perspective.
