A translation, in lieu of a proper self-introduction. I’ve done a few private song translations before, but I’ve never actually published anything. After I listened to this album, though, I decided that I wanted to translate it, if only so I myself can fully understand what’s going on. The other parts will come over the next few days as I proofread them, so please wait warmly until they’re ready!

The scans I was working off aren’t the best, hence the low-quality cover art. I might have also messed up some of the kanji and romaji. Either way, I tried to go with a translation that makes sense, and is somewhat sing-along-able! Hopefully I succeeded… Also, on the off chance that this gets used elsewhere, please give credit! That’s all…

非公式の英訳/Unofficial translation

This is the gloomy Palace of Earth Spirits. It’s the cauldron of Hell, where magma boils hot.
The sky above us is closed heavily – it’s a miserly place, where not even light can reach.
We’re hated by everyone, we’ve been chased away, we’re birds in a cage.
Perhaps you’ve noticed, you’ve already noticed, this place is like this – the bottom of darkness.

These are the depths of the fantastic earth spirits,
In the grey sky, birds dance [flying in the sky].
Let’s dance a stylish dance, surrounded by the suffocating air!

“Don’t look so glum! It would be good if you could smile just a little bit…”

Even though our days were peaceful, just like this,
Why did you close your heart? Hey, I want to see your smiling face.
We’re family, aren’t we?
“Right, Koishi…?”
Even if I don’t open my heart…
It won’t bother me, it doesn’t matter!
Besides… “When I open my heart, I’ll disappear, you know!”
“Wait! Please, wait, Koishi! Koishi…”
