Album: ether [Official site]
Circle: Liz Triangle
Event: C89
Original theme: Eternal Spring Dream [永遠の春夢]
This album… is just as good as I thought it would be. I think it easily ranks as one of Liz Triangle’s best! The lyrics this time are bought to you by kaztora and (thankfully) they’re not nearly as confusing as his previous lyrics (see ハイカラー for a recent example). Because of scheduling conflicts, the lyrics kaztora wrote for this album (including this song and 夜のサーカス [‘The Night Circus’]) didn’t make it into the booklet. To compensate for this, he posted them on the album’s website.
Unofficial translation/非公式の英訳
I float upside-down along the pure white boundary line.
For some reason, I’m awfully sad.
My tears spill from my eyes, vanishing into the sky.
I’m scared, I’m scared… I was so frightened.
Light washed everything away in the starry sky.
I wanted wings more than anything else.
I headed towards someplace far away, crossing over the sea of bricks.
A fanfare resounded through that familiar streetscape.
When I turned on the lights of my sky-blue car,
The rabbit of happiness disappeared somewhere.
It was a wasteland of glass, and everyone’s smiles were made of plastic.
But I felt nostalgic, in some respects.
The thorn in my left hand stung…
I’m scared, I’m scared… I was so frightened.
I sat on a white bench in the park at twilight.
I wanted light more than anyone else.
My countless thoughts have been tied up with lace.
I’ll peek through my viewfinder, as if it could let me see the future.
The horizon towers before me, and if I leap onto a camel
I can go anywhere – even to places I’ve never been before! Look!
I’m scared, I’m scared… I was so frightened.
I’ m cold, so cold, and alone.
But it’s okay – I won’t cry anymore
Because our worlds are tied together!
The rails continue on to you, somewhere.
I’ll gather up everyone’s dreams and create a fantasy!
A grand miracle will be left at the end.
I shall open the door, praying for happiness!
Do re mi fa so la ti do! Let’s play once more!
