A Bright Moon

Vocals: ランコ (Ranko)
Lyrics: コンプ (Comp)
Arranged by: コンプ (Comp)
Album: Lunar Probe (ゲツメンタンサ) [Official site]
Circle: 豚乙女 (BUTAOTOME)
Event: C89
Original theme: Watatsuki’s Spell Card ~ Lunatic Blue [綿月のスペルカード ~ Lunatic Blue]

When I first listened to this arrangement, I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to hear more of the original theme. But then I actually listened to the original theme, and I realised there isn’t that much melodic material in it that can be arranged… >_>

Translation

I gazed at the moon reflected in the ocean.

Our quarrel continued, like fate,
As we sought a pure world.
Though all that it gave birth to
Was grief and blood-stained impurity.

I… can’t live here anymore.
I gazed at the sky and grasped at the emptiness.

Though my past was sad, in the future
Good things must surely await me!
It’s not unthinkable, but I wept.
“There’s no such thing as a quarrel that will last forever!”
I told myself, whilst drying my eyes.
I gazed at the moon reflected in the ocean.

During my own life, my shortened life,
I search for somewhere to go, and wander.

I can fly to that place, suspended above the moon wavering in the water.

Even better things must surely await us
In this future, out of reach.
If you can’t imagine it, then let’s hold hands and go together!
“There’s no way I can’t change.”
I straightened up a little and murmured.
I gazed at the moon above the ocean.

It could happen at any time. Yes, I’m a little scared of changing.
But I have to. I understand!

Living every day like it’s a dream…
I know it isn’t possible anywhere.
But if the present will become the past, then I’ll believe in tomorrow!

Though my past was sad, in the future
Good things must surely await me!
There are times when I don’t think so, but then I grip your hand.
There are things you can’t do alone,
And there are things we can all do together.
I gaze at the blue planet…
