I was expecting these lyrics to be easier to comprehend than they ended up being, so I apologise if there are some awkward phrases in there.

It seems like one of the main themes of this song is 言葉 (kotoba, words) vs. 形 (katachi, form). Medicine seems undecided as to whether or not the words used to describe love or the form it takes are more important. To me, it sounds similar to the proverb ‘actions speak louder than words,’ but 形 doesn’t have the same meaning, which is why I didn’t translate it that way.

Translation

These feelings I have…
I guess they depend on you, right?
I’ll catch you, and then I’ll love you
Always, forever.

You can’t look at anyone else!
If you turn away, I’ll pout.
Yes… I’ll want to cry,
So hug me right away!

The lilies of the valley bloomed, spreading a flourishing scent.
The wind gently blew, carrying happiness.

Is this passion or love?
No matter who decides,
The form it takes is more certain
Than the words used to describe it.

Did those feelings of mine, which overflowed,
All depend on me?
I burst into tears right away
And I couldn’t tell anymore.

Feigning indifference…
It’s always this way!
I want to try to look inside your head
To find out what you’re thinking.

Ah… You and I
Might not get along well,
But that must be
What made me crazy about you.

Is this passion’s medicine? The poison of love?
It’s too hard!
I began to desire words
Instead of just form.

The lilies of the valley made their proclamation, bearing the scent of spring.
Aah… this must be a girl’s feeling.

Is this passion or love?
No matter who decides,
The form it takes is more certain
Than the words used to describe it.

Selfishness is useless!
I’ll let it grow.
The form it takes is more certain
Than the words used to describe it.

I would say that I in some parts I would use different words in the translation but it’s fine.

The song is like about Medicine that wants “Love” in a form, meaning that she wants to move onto the “consuming” (Aka. the thing) part of the relation. But Love is like a poison, because she is poison herself so she might be too sure about it. (At least in my opinion.)

I like that interpretation! I wrote ‘The form that words take’ but thinking over it again, I agree that the ‘form’ in question is actually the form love takes, rather than words. That’s inspired me to look over some sections of it, so thank you! 😀
