夢境 (mukyou) means ‘dream boundary’ when each character is translated individually. However, it seems to be commonly used as a set phrase meaning ‘Dreamland,’ especially in Chinese [also spelled 梦境 and 幻夢境].

Translation

The sins of this world
Secretly crept up.
Singing a sad song,
What will the good children choose?

Ah…
The world beneath your eyelids
Is a sweet dream, a bitter dream.
I’ll find you, quickly.
Where is tonight’s entertainment?

Now, sleep.
Shall I destroy you?
I partake
in this sweet story.
How about you?

Singing a lovely song,
What will the good children choose?

Ah…
The world beneath your eyelids
Is a bright dream, a dark dream.
I’ll seize you, quickly.
Where is tonight’s entertainment?

Now, sleep.
Shall I destroy you?
I partake
in this sweet story.
How about you?

This eternal dream
Has never been seen before.
How about you?

  1. Whoa, i kinda had a feel that it would be kinda ominous (suspecting the character it belongs to), but there’s surprisingly much leeway in steering the dream i think? Quite a nice lullaby XD And another great one, thank you 😀
