Just a note: the parts in brackets sometimes echo what comes before, but I think they should be read separately from the non-bracketed text. The inconsistent nature of this made it hard to pick a single translation of 揃えて (soroete), so it changes each time it’s used.

odayaka ni yukkuri to arawareru
wakaremichi kimi wa doko ni iru no

Calmly, slowly, it appears…
I am at a fork in the road. Where are you?

tsukare hate sukoshi dake furikaeru
kudaketa ishi mayoeru ato o tadoru

I’m tired. I look back, just a little.
I follow crumbled stones, marks from where I went astray.

kuzureteku totsuzen
kimi e tsunagaru michi ga
nokosareta kaze to tomo ni ima kake nukeru

The path leading me to you
suddenly crumbles away.
I was left behind. Now I race on, together with the wind.

君の Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)

kimi no Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)
futatsu soroete
(soroete)
habatakou yo umaku
tobenai to shitemo

Your separate wings—
(Separate wings)
I’ve gathered two.
(Gathered two.)
Now, let’s flap them skilfully
even if we can’t fly.

(Separate Wings)

mitsume naoshite
(Separate Wings)
futatsu no tsubasa
(soroete)
shinjiteru itsu made mo nokotteru
sono hane o

I look once more
(Separate Wings)
at those two wings.
(They’re complete.)
I believe that those wings
will forever remain.

chiheisen utsukushiku kasumi yuku
shiroi keshiki kimi wa soko ni iru no

The horizon is beautiful. It grows hazy.
Are you there in that white landscape?

dare mo itsuka koko e tadori tsuku to

The traveller turns from the sea and begins to sing,
Proclaiming that everyone will someday return here.

kiete yuku kanarazu
kimi o mitsumeru hibi ga
nokosareta toki o te ni susumi tsudzukeru

Days in which I stare at you
will fade away without fail.
Left behind, I will take time in my hands and advance.

Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)

boku no Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)
hitotsu tarinai
(tarinai)
habakitakute ima wa
mogaki tsudzukeru

My Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)
are missing one.
(Missing one.)
I want to fly, but now
I continue to struggle.

(Separate Wings)

hontou wa motteru
(Separate Wings)
futatsu no tsubasa
(soroete)
shinjitai kizutsuitemo nokotteru
kono hane o

Really, I have
(Separate Wings)
two wings.
(They’re complete.)
I want to believe that, even if I’m injured, these wings
will remain.

君の Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)

kimi no Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)
futatsu soroete
(soroete)
habatakou yo umaku
tobenai to shitemo

Your separate wings—
(Separate wings)
I’ve gathered two.
(Gathered two.)
Now, let’s flap them skilfully
even if we can’t fly.

(Separate Wings)

mitsume naoshite
(Separate Wings)
futatsu no tsubasa
(soroete)

sono hane o

I look once more
(Separate Wings)
at those two wings.
(They’re complete.)
I believe that those wings
will forever remain.

Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)

boku no Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)
hitotsu dake demo
(soroete)
habakitakute ima mo hashiri tsudzukeru

My Separate Wings
(Separate Wings)
are only one
(I’ll complete them.)
but I want to flap them. I’ll keep running.

kokoro ni kizanda hanareta tsubasa
wasurenai saa ikou
sono hi made tobi tsudzukeru

Separated wings are engraved in my heart.
I can’t forget. Now, let’s go—
I will continue flying until that day comes.
