There are a lot of instances in this song where things are sung that are drastically different to what is written!

Translation
The parched land I roam
won’t be wet by my dripping sweat.
The heat closes in from the wavering heat haze.
Tears of melted silver flow.
The wounds of the war-torn earth have still not healed.
Evil still piles up at the imposing tower.
“When you just ignore it,” is what people say,
“This is the way of the world,” is what people say
but is that just blindly following the flow?
To put it another way, is it just human nature?
I can’t see an end to this questioning.
Ah, will it bring about meaning?
Even now, people’s screams (1)
are being drowned out
but don’t sing of hollow love.
Please, don’t give me that look. Ah…
Turn away.
I shut off my five senses and think of nothing
and come to feel nothing. In this state
even the faintest rumbling of a distant star
becomes an arc light and is transmitted.
The human world becomes a hell (2)
Even those supposed to protect it
spout nothing but fabrications
and still try to cling to the twisted way of things.
“This is justice.” Hah,
maybe they’re just words. (3)
Don’t celebrate false peace.
Ah, please don’t draw out
a hollow vision of the future.
White and black can’t be demarcated in this world.
If you paint it all pitch-black…
Awaken, object of fear resting in my eyes! (4)
O flower blooming beside the waves,
don’t wither yet!
Even if countless wishes overlap
I will stand alone in a wasteland of souls
until I return to the dream. (5)
Translator’s notes
(1) せいげんの声 (seigen no koe – proclamations) is sung instead of 人の悲鳴 (hito no himei – the screams of people).
(2) 無間 (muken), or Avici, is the lowest level of Buddhist hell
(3) セリフ (serifu – words) is sung instead of 体義の艮い言葉 (taigi no ii kotoba – words that seen proper)
(4) おそれもの (osoremono – object of fear) is sung instead of 希望 (kibou – hope)
(5) ゆめ (yume – dream) is sung instead of 混沌の闇 (konton no yami – chaotic darkness)
