I think it’s interesting that the word used for dais, 高座, has some underlying associations with performance. The word dais itself, though, feels a little more ceremonial.
It’s as if, across two languages, we get words that demonstrate two different sides of the Goddess: the Goddess that dances and the Goddess that rules.

The Goddess alights
upon the land of daybreak.
She dances and proclaims the dawn of the beginning.
During night eternal
all creation is thrown into unrest.
Thus, the Goddess returns yonder.
O Goddess! Dance for but a moment
and proclaim dawn’s arrival upon this vast land.
