I had mostly translated this back in 2017 but there were a few parts I just couldn’t land so I never ended up publishing the translation.

(I pluck a brilliantly shining petal.
and send it on the wind carrying my melody.)
I’ll grant meaning to the words born of my mouth.
People call it ‘love.’
I’ll pick up the words that fell from their mouths.
I don’t know whose they are.
The large sunflowers bloomed
as if they were chasing after me, so they could gently heal my wounded heart.
I don’t care if tomorrow’s nothing special
but I like being close enough to catch up if I speed up.
I’ll make sure to smile, cry, and look ahead.
I wish things could stay like this forever.
(I’m clad in flower petals dyed madder red.
I follow the wind, bearing a melody.)
I’ll water the words that fell from their mouths.
I raise the sprouts and someday, feelings will bud.
I’ll preach love to the words that escaped from their mouths
though nobody is there to listen.
Gentle yet strong,
they gave me a firm push from behind
to untie my tangled heart.
