The Elegy of One Who Was Left Behind
Vocals: ランコ (Ranko)
Lyrics: ランコ (Ranko)
Arranged by: コンプ (Comp)
(O, Ordinary Brain! Dance with Tonight’s Moon)
Circle: 豚乙女 (BUTAOTOME)
Event: C87
Original theme: Beware the Umbrella Left There Forever [
This song, in stark contrast to the other songs from this album, sounds relatively cheery, focusing on Kogasa. Interestingly enough, the title is similar to a certain ‘lament’ by Diao ye zong, except the title this time is probably better translated as ‘Elegy’ (a type of song or poem used to mourn the dead).

Translation
With a “la, so, fa,”
I fell.
I go forwards, hopping on one leg.
How will I get back?
I’m not some abandoned umbrella…
Whether I look here or there,
Everything seems the same.
I think about my fate to break someday,
And about my corrupted sadness, and stuff like that…
Still, if I just sing, “la la,”
Then I’ll drink saké – goodbye ‘till tomorrow!
No way! No way!
There’s love.
Through that, I crush them right away.
I’m not a stake, you know! (1)
I was just joking around a bit –
I want to act cute sometimes!
The feelings I express can’t be helped.
I guess I’m free to become sad, as well…
Those who won’t come back won’t come back –
Even if it isn’t said to me, I understand.
The kotodama I cling to… aren’t they wretched?
I think about my fate to break someday,
And about my corrupted sadness, and stuff like that…
Still, if I just sing, “la la,”
Then I’ll drink saké – goodbye ‘till tomorrow!

(1) A reference to the proverb ‘The stake which comes out is struck.’
