The translated title of this song is really long. I’m so sorry >_< It seems as though 夕凪 (yuunagi, Evening Lull) is a real place in Japan, hence why I didn’t put the translated word in. 跡地 (atochi) literally means ‘site,’ but it refers to the site of something that’s been demolished. I translated it as ‘ruins’ to keep the same nuance. The song as a whole was actually really challenging to translate!

Translation

I wonder what song a music box without a pin would play.
I wonder if the night’s silence itself is the sound of its performance…

I wonder who tells the fairy tale’s hidden story.
The night stirs, whilst still silent. It’s time for the adults’ festival…

Hopeless tastes. They’re too sweet when they’re being eaten.

I wonder why, I wonder why stardust is immeasurable.
The world’s irrationality wells up, with an equal amount of wonder.
I wonder if I know, I wonder if I escaped. Crying will call the morning,
So I shall blend these lines and songs, up to my utopia.

I wonder if your true self is found in the frightening parts of gossip.
The window sways. Who’s there? I smile, reflected in the mirror.

I pass through that dissolving doll, cheering it up with my rustling body.
I sew up the gaps between the laughing trees, and I call to myself.

I wonder why, I wonder why the heat haze dances together with me.
I pull grieving voices and just a little bit of happiness to my side.
I wonder if it felt it. I wonder if it was aware of it. The sun comes to the night, yearning for it.
If I race upon the slanting sky, then there, upon my stage…

The stardust is in an illusion. The illusion is within my heart…

I wonder why, I wonder why I’ve grown nostalgic.
I continued to draw up the same wish. The sky is black.
I wonder if that’s enough, I wonder if I’m crying. There’s somewhere I must return to…
Upon the remains of a stage void of applause, the shadow dances alone.
