Original theme: Corpse Voyage ~ Be of good cheer! [死体旅行 ~ Be of good cheer!]
I tried my best with this one, but like with pretty much all of Kaztora’s lyrics, the song’s amazing but I don’t really know what’s going on. Somehow, this song makes me want to visit Istanbul.
Unofficial translation/非公式の英訳
The red-haired cat races along.
She travels alone, with nothing to do.
Something new inside you begins to move – the largest this century!
Like a woollen thread, it twines and twists you up.
The boundary between your approaching spirit and your dead body is ambiguous!
Fly to Istanbul – the air’s thin in space-time.
Human life is a satire! If you’ve smashed your head in…
Yeah! I’m riding on my fiery cart, loaded with all kinds of spirits,
And we’re drawing a line right ‘round Hell.
(Vanished—) The magic words from that day.
(Ra-ra-rai! Ra-ra-rai!) The tapir won’t eat them,
Them, them – If you don’t wanna do anything, come here!
The cat with braided hair strides over.
(Her hair’s richly coloured – it’s the colour rouge.)
She heads towards the coffin as it rises to the surface.
(Ra-ra-rai! A crash of thunder. It disappeared! How mysterious…)
The bells echo shrilly.
(*Ding-a-ling ling* they’re made to ring in the rampant world.)
It’s enough to make one run away – frank curiosity took the cat and her bamboo ladle prisoner.
(Helter-skelter, quickly – at last! It took the cat and her bamboo ladle prisoner.)
Relative to ABC, life is a mystery.
Let’s go – 1, 2, 3, at the mercy of the clouds.
That isn’t there, there, there.
This isn’t there? Look,
Though their scent lingers on… where do they go?
(So long, farewell!) Even if we part,
(Ra ra rai! Ra ra rai!) I won’t let the kasha eat you!
But I guess you forgot it after 1000 years. Even now…
The stylish cat, with her red hair
(Her hair’s richly coloured – it’s the colour rouge.)
Came to lead you on, with a shocked expression on her face.
(She gracefully walks down the road. She kidnaps people – a cheapskate! A pilferer!)
The red cat crawls along, even late at night…
(*Ding-a-ling ling* peppers her movements, with bonds and fate.)
It’s enough to make one laugh – she disappears like smoke, crossing over where the water goes, and where the clouds and wind come from.)
(Hahahaha! Heave, ho! Crossing over where the water goes, and where the clouds and wind come from.)
I’d forgotten all about them! (Hey, look!) My childhood memories are a serenade. They resonate.
Things that happened yesterday (La-la-lan, the sky and the sea) Things that happened that day (La-la-lan are dyed red) Everything – everything! (Everything, everything, everything!) It’s all lies.
The stylish cat races through the sky.
(She’s richly coloured – she’s the colour rouge.)
She takes them along, all in a line.
(La-la-la! Where are you headed, everyone? Draw a circle in a square, and it’s all blah-blah-blah!)
You’re unidentified – who are you?
(You’re richly coloured – you’re the colour rouge.)
It’s enough to make one submit – whether she sleeps or rises… now now! As expected, frank curiosity will take her and her bamboo ladle prisoner.
(Helter-skelter, quickly – at last! Whether she sleeps or rises… now now! As expected, it will take her and her bamboo ladle prisoner.)
