This artist does some interesting things with grammar, so part of translating the song is trying to look through it and work out what’s going on!

For example, in the collection of three lines 遠く鳴ったベル // 失くすような細い声で // 言わないで, the underlined part 失くすような細い声 (a thin voice like [one] is losing something) could possibly be applied to the bell in the previous line or the verb in the next line. There’s a lot to think about!

shimetta kuuki no kanshoku mo
nodomoto ni nokotte itan da
kudaranai yo na
itsuka akireru
konna koto nara dareka ni motomerareru uchi ni
utte shimaeba ii no darou kedo

Every part of you was frozen
and that became something I could rely on.
The touch of the damp air, too,
remained in my throat.
How worthless.
Someday I’ll tire of it.
Still, I should just sell something like this
while it’s wanted by someone else.

kouka shita asatsuyu
nioi tatsu you na
haru o sashita

The morning dew on the overhead structure
pierced through
the fragrant spring.

tooku natta beru
nakusu you na hosoi koe de
iwanaide
ano basho de kyou wa matte ite
“ame ga yandara”
yurusu you ni kakusu you ni
sono kurashi ga atta to ka
urusai na damatte yo

The bell rang in the distance.
Don’t speak with a thin voice
like you’re losing something.
Wait there for today.
“When the rain stops—”
To say that you lived such a life
to forgive, or to conceal…
How annoying. Shut up!

kiesatte ita machi no subete mo
togame nara yumebanashi nante

Everything in the streets vanished
and now it becomes a mere bruise.
Only the whiteness of transparent blue
remains so vulgarly there.
If we understand each other, then tonight
turn that blame into a mere tale from a dream.

douka shita shitai to sarake dasu you na
tada hana o tsunaida

It seemed as though I was laying it all bare using assimilated limbs
but I just linked flowers together.

ima wa tooku natta beru
hanasu you na hosoi koe de
kikanaide
minaide damatte
matte ite
“soba ni iru kara”
erabu you ni kowasu you ni
sono katachi ni natta to ka
mou mitsuketa kana

The bells have grown distant now.
Don’t ask me with a thin voice
that’s so speech-like.
Don’t look. Keep quiet
and wait.
“I’m by your side, after all.”
You assumed that form
so you could choose, so you could destroy…
Have you figured that stuff out already?

hidoi kao o shite kotae o awaseta
machigai bakkari no jinsei datta nara
kimi wa sono inochi no higaisha da
risou o matte ita
nemuri sou ni natte ita
“mou kaerenai”

With a cruel expression, I checked my answers.
If my life was full of mistakes
then you’re a victim of that life.
I was waiting for ideals.
I got a bit sleepy.
“I can’t go back home now.”

tooku natta beru
nakusu you na hosoi koe de

ano basho de kyou wa matte ite
“ame ga yandara”
yurusu you ni kakusu you ni
sono kurashi ga atta to ka
urusaina damatte yo

The bell rang in the distance.
Don’t speak with a thin voice
like you’re losing something.
Wait there for today.
“When the rain stops—”
To say that you lived such a life
to forgive, or to conceal…
How annoying. Shut up!
