I’ve… had this lying around half-translated for a while, so it’s a relief to finally finish it! There’s a bit of background reading for this one, as well. Wani posted an update on Twitter that basically says “I used Dissociative Personality Disorder (DID) as a theme to present an individualistic delusion of the Renko-Merry coupling. I wrote it mixing in some personal experiences, and with a world view set after the second track, ‘Future Prediction’ (未来予報).” He goes on to say something like “I have a feeling that almost everyone has had an experience of feeling like they can’t keep on living unless they’re destroyed in place of another person.”
Dissociative Personality Disorder was previously known as multiple personality disorder. You can see this in the song when either Renko or Merry talk about that ‘other me’ and ‘waking up.’ I’ll leave the rest up to your interpretation!
