英訳だけです。申し訳ありません。

Some early Shinra-bansho, for a change of pace. I never ended up translating much from this album, but I would still like to translate whichever songs haven’t been translated yet, and I’d love to translate the title track someday.

This one feels so calm. Azuki’s lyrics are wonderful like always, and Mie sounds really different to how she usually sounds. She’s quite versatile!

By the way, this is totally not related to the well-known Pocahontas song of the same name. At least, not from what I can see…

In April, the cherry blossoms of parting bloom.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m a fan of pretty much all of Yuuka’s themes. It feels like I’ve translated a couple of songs based on Gensokyo, Past and Present lately, which is a good thing! I can’t believe it took me this long to discover this arrangement…

Immediately afterwards, a sun-coloured flower bloomed.
It grew even taller than me…

指を噛んで　溢れ出した血
花びらを　線で汚した
愛しくて　憎たらしくて
大嫌い、好き

I bit my finger, and with the blood flowing from it,

It seems like the main image behind this song is the ‘spider’s thread.’ It’s a well-known short-story in which a sinner is offered salvation through a spider’s thread because they refrained from killing a spider whilst alive. Since this song’s speaker refers to ‘cutting’ this thread, I wonder if that means they don’t want salvation… The lyrics are quite vague, so it’s open to interpretation.
